Harmonic Integration into the Living Space
Our latest kitchen and living project "Haus R" in Stuttgart is a masterpiece of modern architecture and timeless design. Inspired by clear lines and flowing transitions, we have created a kitchen that seamlessly integrates into the living environment thanks to its calm appearance. Every element has been carefully selected to convey a sense of tranquility and elegance, while not compromising on functionality.
A highlight of this project is the clever integration of the electrical appliances. These have been cleverly hidden behind pocket doors that can be opened when needed. This solution keeps the kitchen tidy and stylish when the appliances are not in use, while still allowing for quick and easy access when they are needed.
Innovative Solutions for Maximum Functionality
Another outstanding feature of this kitchen is the sliding door to the pantry. Made from the same material as the fronts, it creates a seamless extension of the kitchen space. This thoughtful solution not only emphasizes the consistency of the design but also maximizes the functionality of the area by providing discreet access to the storage area.
The choice of materials for this project was crucial. For the countertop and the front of the kitchen island, we opted for ceramic in the color Sirius. This material impresses with its robustness and easy-care surface. The remaining fronts were executed in Fenix Arizona Beige, giving the kitchen a warm, inviting aura. To complete the high-quality overall impression, appliances from Miele and Gaggenau were used.
Frequently Asked Questions about the "Haus R" Project
How do the pocket doors for the electrical appliances work?
The pocket doors are equipped with a special sliding mechanism. They can be easily pushed to the side and stored in a "pocket" in the cabinet wall, allowing access to the appliances without the doors getting in the way.
What advantages does the ceramic countertop offer compared to other materials?
Ceramics are extremely resistant to scratches, heat, and stains. Additionally, it is a very hygienic material and easy to clean. The Sirius color provides an elegant, timeless look that fits well into various design styles.
How was the lighting in the kitchen designed?
We developed a multilayered lighting concept that combines task lighting, ambient light, and decorative elements. LED strips under the wall cabinets ensure even illumination of the work surfaces, while discrete ceiling spots and indirect lighting create a pleasant atmosphere.
Is the concept of a hidden pantry suitable for smaller kitchens as well?
Yes, the concept can also be implemented in smaller kitchens. The sliding door saves space compared to a conventional door and can be adjusted in size depending on the available space. This way, additional hidden storage can also be created in more compact areas.
